About this peptide
KPV is a tiny three-amino-acid fragment of the natural hormone alpha-MSH, studied for its anti-inflammatory action. The research focus is the gut, where it has reduced markers of inflammation in animal and cell models, with some interest in skin too. Human clinical data are limited, so it is early in its evidence. What it does
Researched for calming inflammation, with most attention on the gut and digestive lining. The gut-health crowd explores it for IBS-type discomfort, reflux and recovery of the gut lining, sometimes after antibiotics or alongside BPC-157 for digestive work; there is secondary interest from the skin crowd for inflammatory skin conditions. KPV is the tail fragment of alpha-MSH. Research describes it entering gut and immune cells through the PepT1 transporter and dialling down inflammatory signalling there, which is why the gut is the main focus of its study.
