Semax is a Russian-developed nootropic peptide based on a fragment of the hormone ACTH, but without the cortisol effect. It is studied for focus, memory and brain protection, and is an approved medicine in Russia for stroke and cognitive conditions. Outside Russia it is a research compound and independent large trials are limited. Supplied as a freeze-dried powder for research use.
